Paper vs Digital Planning
If you want to take your planning to the next level, spend less time planning, and more time making those plans happen, then you’d love to know why going paperless and start with digital planning is the best you can do for your planning and your amazing goals!
If you know me, you know I’m an avid lover of digital planning and today I want to share with you five reasons why I love digital planning over paper planning, and you know I was such a big paper kind of girl!
1 | PORTABLE AND CONVENIENT
Digital planning is portable, convenient, and super flexible. You can plan from your iPad, your tablet, your laptop, and even from your phone, so you can take your plans, your to-do list, and everything you need to know and do during the day in your purse or your pocket.
This is the main reason for me because, in the past, I used to carry my big planner and a couple of notebooks with me, and my bag was pretty heavy. Now that I have all my planners on my iPad, that’s the only thing that I need to take with me – my iPad and my apple pencil.
2 | FASTER AND EASIER
Digital planning is also faster and easier than regular old-fashion paper planning because you don’t need to take with you all the pens with all the colors, all the sticker sets, and everything you need to come up with your plans and decorate your planner.
When you plan digitally, you have everything you need on your tablet or your iPad or whatever device you use. Most apps have everything you need to write, highlight text, decorate your spreads, to import and crop stickers, etcetera. So everything is a lot smoother and faster than with paper planning.
3 | CHEAPER
Yes, digital planning is a lot cheaper and budget-friendly.
If you’re like me and you love stationery, planners, notebooks, and all that kind of stuff, then you cannot take a no for an answer when you see a cute planner or notebook right?
I used to collect notebooks and planners, and honestly, I do not know how much money I have invested in them. Even less, in all the stickers and washi tape that I own.
Regular paper planners cost between $30-$40 and some of them even cost $50-$60. While all of my planners cost under $30, actually between $20 and $29. Besides, most of them are reusable, like the business, blogging, fitness, academic planners, and of course the undated planners.
Also, when you purchase digital planner stickers or digital sticky notes, you can reuse them over and over again. Sets like these in my shop start at $5.
4 | LESS WASTE AND MORE ECO-FRIENDLY
If one of your main reasons to go paperless is to stop the waste and be more eco-friendly and Earth-friendly, then you’re going to love this reason because it’s been almost a year that I’ve been planning on my iPad and I haven’t used a piece of paper since then.
I make all of my planning for my day to day life and my iPad. Everything about my business, my YouTube channel, and my social media I do it digitally. And I keep track of all about my fitness and my health in my digital planner.
I used to love printing my printable planners, but now my printer is just getting dusty.
5 | ACCESSIBLE
Finally, another of my favorite reasons to go paperless and definitely a pro of digital planning is how accessible it is because most apps allow you to sync your files and your digital planners among the rest of your devices.
This means that your digital planner, the plans, and the to-do lists are accessible and available to you from whatever device you sync. So if you want to quickly check something on your phone, you can do it. If you want to write something out pretty quickly, you can do it on my phone. Or, if you don’t want to write and you rather to type stuff, you can do it on your laptop.
Of course, it depends on the app that you’re using and how you set it up, but syncing is amazing!
Well, these have been my top 5 and favorite reasons to go paperless and start with digital planning.
